UFC 331 fills the Crypto.com Arena on September 19, headlined by a rematch between flyweight champion Joshua Van and former champion Alexandre Pantoja.
It is the kind of quick turnaround rematch that gives a division’s storyline extra weight, since the two men are meeting again less than a year after their first fight decided the belt.
How the Title Slipped Away
Pantoja lost the belt to Van at UFC 323 in December 2025.

At the UFC 331 kickoff press conference on August 14, Van interrupted Pantoja mid-answer, and the two nearly came to blows before UFC president Dana White stepped in between them.
Two Brazilians, Two Big Fights
Pantoja is not the only Brazilian carrying weight on the September 19 card.
The co-main event pits Arman Tsarukyan against Mauricio Ruffy in a lightweight bout with elimination stakes, meaning both of the night’s headline fights feature a Brazilian.
That gives the card a dual storyline for Brazilian fans, with a title rematch at the top and a lightweight contender fight just below it.
The full UFC 331 lineup runs 14 fights, one of the deepest bills the promotion has put together this fall.
A Late Change in Arizona
The September 12 card looked different just a few weeks ago.
Yair Rodriguez was originally set to headline against Jean Silva before withdrawing with an injury.
Jose Delgado now steps into that slot, and the pair meets at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The Records Behind the Swap
Silva carries a 17-3 record, with one of those losses coming against Diego Lopes in an earlier Noche UFC main event.
He arrives off a unanimous decision win over Arnold Allen from January 2026, a result that put him back in position for a main-event slot when Rodriguez pulled out.
Delgado is 12-2, with a single defeat inside the octagon, and he has won his last two fights by decision, over Austin Bashi and Andre Fili.
He earned his UFC contract by finishing Ernie Juarez on the 2024 Contender Series, and he now carries a 4-1 record inside the organization heading into the Silva fight, making this his first true main-event opportunity.
Vegas Closes the Month
September wraps at the Meta APEX facility in Las Vegas on the 26th.
Raul Rosas Jr. faces Brazilian bantamweight Raoni Barcelos in that card’s main event, closing out four fight cards spread across three countries in a single month.
Where September Sits
The UFC’s full 2026 calendar runs to roughly 44 events, and September’s four cards are packed into just three weeks, a pace that leaves little room between international travel and the demands of building fighters back up for the next assignment.
